George has walked the walk and talked the talk in his own songwriting aspirations between his many "college tries" at everything from broadcasting to marketing and from stock broking to school teaching. "I think I am the only person I know who went from stock broker to stock boy just so I could write songs."
George has also had the endearing pleasure only a true musician gets when he is pawning off his possessions in the name of his record. "My first record was made by way of the bartering system. By the time I was done the guy who helped me had a nice studio and I was eating off a peach crate."
With the release of his latest CD, "One Man One Guitar", George has stripped away all the slick Nashville production and LA pitch corrections and computerized harmonies. What the listener is left with are just the raw songs – the haunting melodies and lyrics that anyone can relate to. As he sings the songs of his life, we are carried along for the ride. It is George's natural understanding of song and the left-of-center mentality of the true tunesmith that makes one of his performances such a memorable experience.
